Welcome to my author website! My name is Godwin Okojie II and I LOVE writing!
I was seven years old in 1st grade when I realized that writing stories was more than just what I had to do for assignments for school. It was about a year later that I realized that I wanted to write mysteries after reading Nancy Drew.
That’s when I created Quincy Jones (later renamed to be October Johnson), and flashforward two more grades, and I published my first book, October Johnson and the Secret of the Old Factory, on December 2nd, 2015, at the age of 10. A second edition was published on my 12th birthday, October 8, 2017.

I’ve been working on the sequel ever since. Life’s gotten a lot busier, my dad stopped the publishing preparation process (for good reason in hindsight) and last summer, I decided to make what was going to be the sequel for the Secret of the Old Factory into the first book in another series set in the same universe as the October Johnson series (which itself is getting a rebooted continuity from the 2017 edition.)
You may be thinking to yourself, Who the heck is this guy? I’ve been on his site for five minutes, and I’m already getting a lot of info!
Yeah, well, I’ve been writing stories for myself for 13 years and almost 9 of those years are as a published author, so I’ve had a long journey!
What to Expect on This Blog:
But enough about me—let’s talk about how this site can help you in your own journey, whether as a writer or a reader. Here’s what you can expect from my blog:

You can also find me on Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads, Wattpad, Tumblr, and soon Twitter! Fair warning: I’m not as popular or as experienced online and on social media as I’d like to be, but starting this month, I’m going to change that!
And who knows? Maybe I’ll start a Youtube channel next year!
What’s Coming Next:
Thanks for stopping by! Later today, I’ll be posting about why I decided not to enter the Wattpad Shortys 2024 contest. Stay tuned!
