Hello, everyone!

After years of dreaming and months of writing, I can finally say it: I finished the first draft of my first YA urban fantasy novel, Can You Spell Werewolf?, on May 20, 2025.

THE STORY BEHIND THE DRAFT

This story began in November 2020. I officially started the draft on February 1, 2025, over a week after my spring semester of my freshman year of college started.

I wrapped my spring semester a week ago, raising my GPA from 2.5 to 3.15. The work I did this semester made finishing the last 9 chapters, 4 of them on May 20, especially worth it.

Fun fact: I initially wanted to finish on April 30, but it was unrealistic. But I’m so glad I got to finish on a day that still ended in 0!

NEXT STEPS

I’m planning on stepping away from the manuscript until July because I need a creative break and because of my summer classes in June! But afterwards, the next chapter will begin!

Stay tuned for more updates!
