One year ago, one of the first two posts I’ve ever shared on this website was about how I wasn’t going to participate in the 2024 Wattpad Shortys, a thing hosted on Wattpad to bring more attention to poems and short stories in September.

But this year, I’m in a different headspace, and I’m not sitting out. Instead, I’m going to use Wattpad Shortys2025 as inspiration for my next piece—and I want you to join me.
The Prompt
Choose one of these two options (or both, if you’re ambitious!):
Option 1: Write a poem, short story, or anything that matches the vibe or incorporates this lyric:
“I’ve got peace and I’ve got love, but I’m up thinkin’ I might lose it all.”
Option 2: Write something — any genre, any style — that includes all these words:
- love
- peace
- lose
- rapture
