STATS:

Average Daily Wordcount: 1,298

Week Total: 9,086

Words to Go:

Month: 62,309 (Stretch Goal)

Year: 978,975

Well, if I was doing a Quarter Milwordy, I would hit and passed my monthly goal early.

This week was the week where academic writing dominated the week.

I had two research papers that I wanted to get done before the end of the week, two article discussions, and a presentation and a Spanish writing assignment to prepare for!

So, my creative output was the lowest this week. I am so glad that I made the decision to push my Draft 2 deadline on Can You Spell Werewolf? to January 16, 2026.

FUN FACT: today marks 5 years to the day that I came up with the idea of Can You Spell Werewolf?

And that’s not the only milestone that I’m excited about celebrating, but I’ll get to that in due time.

But first, let give me you the blow-by-blow on what I accomplished and fell short.

WEEK WINS

  • November 15th is now my highest word count day at 2,103 words.
  • I turned in both of my two research papers to my classes on the same day yesterday, and I am so happy to be done with them
  • All of my assignments for school have been done, so now I will have a lot more time and energy for my family and for my creative projects.
  • I WENT TO THE GYM THREE TIMES AND WORKED OUT! (mostly fufilling my goal of getting execrise)

WHERE I FELL SHORT:

  • For obvious reasons, I barely worked on Can You Spell Werewolf?, but that’s ok because I have a lot more desire to work on it now. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and all of that.
  • I did not read or listen to any of the books that I wanted to read this week. Side effect of my creative energy being drained.

WEEK FOUR WISHES:

I want November to go out with a well-balanced, strong bang. This week will be my Thanksgiving break, so I’ll be back with my family (including people who came over 2 days who I will not give the names of for the sake of privacy who I am going to give the biggest of hugs when I see them in person for the first time ever).

This week, I want to:

  • Spend time with family and rest, watching the movies and shows I’ve been waiting to watch. There’s so much on my list: Stranger Things Season 5 Premiere, Wicked: For Good, The Fantastic Four: First Steps
  • Get as much done with the first half of Can You Spell Werewolf? Draft Two and Act One of A Speller’s Genesis.
  • Continue working out in the morning.
  • Actually, read and listen to the books on my list, for real this time.

MILESTONE CELEBRATION AND WRAP-UP

Now if you’re been paying attention so far, you’ve probably noticed that there’s something that I haven’t brought up yet: why I subtitled this recap 10th Author Anniversary Countdown Part One.

Well, this is because December 2nd, 2025, the day that the November Monthly Reflection will arrive, will MARK TEN YEARS SINCE I PUBLISHED MY FIRST BOOK, OCTOBER JOHNSON AND THE SECRET OF THE OLD FACTORY!

And unlike my 9th anniversary last year, I intend to celebrate both on this website and social media through daily anniversary countdown posts.

Stay tuned for those!

But what about you? How do you want your November to end?
