Today, Ten Years Later (10th Author Anniversary Scala Decima Poem)

A poem using Holly Jahagnri’s Scala Decima form that I wrote for my 10th author anniversary today.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to another poem on this website and the second post of my 10th author anniversary, which is today!

For my second post, I finally decided that I want to try a poetic form that Holly Jahangiri invented and posted the day that I finished the first draft of Can You Spell Werewolf?, which was May 20, 2025.

Please check out her site, A MORE POSITIVE PERSPECTIVE.

The link to her poetic form is also here.

But with no further ado, enjoy!

Today marks ten years of my creation
A new decade begins tomorrow, so
I walk through today, walking through I have
Been since my blue book was published back when
I was 10 and knew not the things I know now
The blue book, my debut! Even if I
Wish it was not so, I'm too grateful for
Any regrets in this journey. Whew! A
Journey, the pinnacle that a few can
Say they took the leap, lookin' just cuckoo
