Happy New Year, Readers!
December was…decidedly less consistent in terms of output, but a bigger rollercoaster in terms of the second half. I was not expecting to write even less this month than I did last month.
But this week overall brought my writing momentum up:
WEEK WINS:
- I wrote more across December 22nd to 28th than in the last 8 days of November, even with a zero day of Christmas.
- I drafted the rest of the first arc of A Speller’s Genesis, which starts releasing chapters on this website 5 days from now on January 6th.
- I got through the toughest section of Act 2A of Can You Spell Werewolf?.
- December 28th was my 2nd 3k day of the month, but it was the only 3k day where I worked on one project exclusively.
CHECKLIST ON THE THINGS I NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH AND STEP INTO:
- Finals: Yes, I got those done. In terms of grades for the semester, I got an A in Intro to American Government in Politics, a B+ in my Spanish class, and a B in Research Methods in Psychology. But that semester is over, and I will be walking onto campus two weeks from now with a declared major in Pyschology.
- Act 2 of Can You Spell Werewolf? (Draft 2): My goal was to finish Act 2A and most of Act 2B this month, but I’m currently only 6 chapters away from being finished with Act 2A alone.
- Continued work on A Speller’s Genesis: Finishing the first mini-arc aka ACT 1—SUCCESS! I did a little bit of outlining and prep work for not just the second mini-arc but also the rest of the remainder of the other mini-arcs.
- I do not have a clean state off my Currently Reading List.
What am I going to do with January and the first quarter of 2026 to start turning things around?
Well, you’ll have to stay tuned for tomorrow to find that out!
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
How did December treat you?
